Rush for Fall 2026 is underway!
Pledging is a structured period where prospective members learn about the fraternity’s history, values, and traditions while developing leadership, professional, and networking skills. It’s also an opportunity to build meaningful connections with fellow pledges and brothers before becoming fully initiated.
There is absolutely NO Hazing of any kind and if you are ever uncomfortable tell a brother or the health and safety officer.
Our pledging process abides entirely in accordance to the national organization's regulations.
Pledging with AXS Beta Sigma is a semester-long process and is open to all RIT students who have taken a college chemistry class.
You do not need to be a chemistry major or a master chemist to pledge — the only requirements are commitment and interest.
While a lot of fun, the pledging process is intensive, and prospective pledges are warned that the process has a workload roughly on par with a three-credit course.
Find your people. Build lasting friendships with brothers who share your passion for chemistry, science, and learning—and who understand the demands of college.
Build your support system. From study sessions to tough weeks, you’ll have brothers who can support you academically, personally, and professionally.
Make memories that last. From your pledge class to the brothers you meet along the way, you’ll create experiences and friendships that go beyond the classroom.
Share a love for chemistry. Connect with people who genuinely enjoy chemistry and aren’t afraid to nerd out about the subject with you—inside and outside the classroom.
Be part of something bigger. Join a national brotherhood with chapters across the U.S. and a legacy dating back to 1902.
